rocky and i were introduced by mutual friends at church.
spent time together at Bible studies at my apartment with mutual friends.
spent time rock climbing and the such together with friends...
somewhere during this time i became quite smitten with rocky...he stole my heart and ran with it.
started officially dating valentine's day.
two years later...
got engaged valentine's day.
(will post pictures of the actual proposal when i get back home to those pictures (that was pre-digital for me) hard to believe there ever was a time..
five months later...
got married. {july 6, 2003}(would have been valentine's day...but, didn't want a long engagement) ;-)

| yes...we chose comfort. i wanted everyone to be comfortable so sandals it was was! i didn't wear any shoes...loved it! the Bible boy didn't get the sandal memo. oops! |
two years later...
had sweet boy (river)

| our miracle baby...he has Shone's complex (multiple malformations of the left side of the heart). he had open heart surgery at 3 days old at Vanderbilt in Nashville. |

| rocky's first time ever holding river...you can see the scar on river's back from the heart surgery. I praise God for those doctors and surgeons who saved my baby boy! |

| so many tubes and wires..i thought he was so fragile. well, i suppose at this time in his life he really was. |

| he is doing fine now..going to the cardiologist yearly to make sure everything is growing like it should. he is thriving healthy boy...full of all sorts of energy now! Praise be to God! |
then sometime later, had a fun pre-lily photoshoot....

| walking around the mall for awhile...i was about 6 centimeters dilated at this point..midwife told me to walk around the mall (since they were located close together) for awhile before heading to hospital (i like to progress on my own as much as possible without hospital). |

| i walked and did squats during contractions...the only way i survived without epidurals (yes, i delivered both my babies without epidurals, thanks to God!)...i have low pain tolerance so...I know this was a blessing from God! i am also thankful we took the Bradley Method classes! They were a blessing! |
